The best sandwich we had in Portugal! This little hidden gem is more of a local coffee shop where people stop by for a quick bite. If you’re after a unique experience, this is the place to be! The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful, served on fresh bread—everything you could want in a sandwich!

Food was great and so were the workers, Just too nice and kind. I higly reccomend the codfish, everything was fresh and the portions were huge with a very Little price. I would love to go back

Still my favourite eat in all of Portugal.
This humble tavern serves a range of traditional Portuguese fare but the true star of the show is the slow cooked Rojoes.
I've been here multiple times now and it's the place I look forward to visiting most when I'm in Porto.
Expect a long wait for a table if you're coming for dinner especially if you're in a big group.
The best time to come is at the end of lunch service.
If I'm not just grabbing one of the face-melting Sandos I'm ordering a full portion of the stewed pork, a side of patas fritas and a couple of beautiful fried eggs.
All is accompanied by fresh crusty bread and a banging home made hot sauce.
There are multiple dining areas, one at the bar, one in front of the kitchen and main room.
The atmosphere is as local as it gets so expect to wait your turn.

The environment is rustic and lively and the service is prompt with great recommendations from the staff. We had the pork roll, soup with meat and blood (surprisingly amazing) and the homemade wafer cake for desert (which I wouldn’t normally go for but was recommended and incredible).

Very fun vibe and ultra busy, you can try really authentic Portuguese food for a great price. The service was great and the beers were tasty. I loved my vegetable soup, it had nice chunks of cabbage and geeens swimming around. The French fries tasted really amazing! You might have to come early if you want a good seat, or even a seat at all.

The restaurant was recommened by the locals and it was worth it! The pork in bun (the most famous dish from casa expresso) with chesse is something mandatory to try in Porto. The place is simple but with local vibe.

We stopped here briefly during our day in Porto. After being recommended through Instagram reels, we had to check out what the rave was about this giant pork sandwich. It was delicious!! The pork was insanely flavourful.

Now this is TRUE Portuguese food!!!! Incredible food and service, of course there is a huge line to eat here usually but it’s totally worth it! Probably the best food for this price in Porto. Highly recommended.

Authentic place recommended by serveral youtubers. It was well worth it ! The pork just melts in your mouth and the marinade that the meat is cooked in is so flavourfull ! This place is a must visit ! (And it was very affordable at 3,50€)

I was very happy to find out they have take-out option, the man at the counter was smiley, I got a hearty tummy-warming dinner of meat soup and tripe stew with rice, too much for 1 sitting, ate again for breakfast. Very satisfied

We arrived at 12:45 and got a table straight away, though 5 minutes later there was a huge queue. We had the daily special of fried sardines and the famous sandwich with cheese, both of which were deeeelish. Lovely friendly service and the waiter spoke near perfect English. Worth a visit for sure and go hungry!

If you're looking for an amazing Portuguese culinary experience. Then you've found the perfect place! The food is very authentic,rustic and delicious! 😋 even when busy the staff does a great job of staying attentive and very helpful. Loved this place. Very warm and friendly service. The food is absolutely spot on. The vibe is there with the local regulars. Everybody looking out for each other. It's a must visit!
